Ye gods and little fishies, it’s been so long since I updated this thing, I’m afraid Journalspace won’t let me post this — put the virtual boot on my wheels, if you will.
Moving to a new apartment combined with the strangeness of sharing my space and schedule with a new person all swirled together with a ridiculous amount of work are to blame. And maybe sunspots. Yeah, sunspots.
Notable notes:
- D. and I were without phone service for a week while Verizon dicked around with our line. It’s fixed now, but we seem unable to get our DSL hooked up. (Talking to others who’ve signed up for broadband leads me to believe that getting DSL installed is like extracting molars. Why, in this age of SLAs and customer service, should this be, I wonder?)
- My (indoor, chronically confused) cat ran away for a day and a half, leaving me as close to hysterical as I can ever remember being. (He came back in the middle of the night, meowing me awake — I’d left the back door open hoping he might.
- And my best friend moved out of town for good.
