Welcome home. Now get to work.

Not a lot of time to update, but Maine was da proverbial bomb. Even worth having to come back and catch up on email and various crappo isslues at work.

And hey, I’m in this week’s Black List. True, it shows just how misanthropic I can be when I put my back into it, but it was nice to come home to.

Now if only the cat will forgive our four-day absence.

Nice “review.” What is it about some people that they don’t understand everyone doesn’t particularly want to hear about their rather personal little issues? Me, I just complain about pointless things - like who is this Will Leitch, and why did he feel compelled to invent (?) the term “mandals,” as if sandals have any particular gender-slant to them in the first place? I say: if yr gonna invent a word, first rule is: be clever, and second rule is: unless it’s real clever, it shouldn’t be pointless. (Can I join your misanthropy club? Or do we all just sit around by ourselves muttering?)

Thanks! And yer welcome to join Misanthropists United. As long as you remember the secret password (Grr, argh) and carry a trout with you at all times.

I first heard about Leitch in the Boston Phoenix or some such place, for the book based on his columns, Life as a Loser. I haven’t taken the time to actually read any of his pieces, though.
