Keeping New Englanders (and their cameras) toasty since 2004

I finally got around to uploading some knitting photos.

Here’s D’s sweater in pieces:

It’s Bonne Marie Burns’s 3xChic sweater, done in Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Bulky, Brown Heather.

I modified the pattern to resize it so it would be a men’s XL. Not easy for someone as arithmetically challenged as myself.

It took me about a month from start to finish and weighs about as much as Theo.

And here’s Sasha, a.k.a. America’s Next Top Model When They Start Giving Points for Brains as Well as Beauty, wearing the cardigan I knitted her this past spring (click to enlarge):

Once I realized that the mattress stitch is actually kind of fun, I seamed up the iPod cozy I began ages ago. I think it’s Rowan’s Polar, but I don’t remember the colorway. There’s probably a stray ball band somewhere in my stash bin.

And I knitted a cozy for my new camera, in pink Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran. I should probably add a button and loop to keep it shut.

Right now, I’m about a third of the way through Felted Tote No. 7 as a Christmas present for my mom, and I decided yesterday that I should knit a hat or something for my dad. I would dearly love to knit the Everyday Cardigan in Stitch n’ Bitch for myself, as well as finish the Kitty Hat from same. Once the holidays are over, I should be able to do some selfish stitching.

Awww…cute kitty! Cute kid, too - although you know, it’s funny how people start thinking “Sasha” is a girl’s name. Lotsa Russian guys named Aleksandr, nicknamed Sasha, gonna be upset about that…

I love the cell-phone cozy. I did put a button on mine: http://www.daltonrooney.com/images/knit/cell_cozy.jpg

They’re just the best project ever.
