D’oh, sorry! They did “Around the Dial” from Give the People What They Want and “I Took My Baby Home” from Kinks, both substantially rocking to fit the Hyphens’ M.O. They actually got a great crowd response, perhaps in part from how the two songs dovetailed together with nary a pause. I hope that the Abbey hosts more cover extravaganzas like the ones I’ve enjoyed in DC.

That bassist looks vaguely familiar. Was he on American Idol?

OK, since Weezie and I were out of town for the show, will I ever get to find out what Kinks songs our Hyphen-y friends tackled?
