- On the way out of the house, I lost my footing on the ice-glazed front steps and fell hard on my back and right wrist. Ow.
- In the space of one block near MIT, I saw a dead rat, blood leading from its little head, the wing from a pigeon, which looked as though it had been ripped off pretty violently.

! :( Sniff! I hope you are feeling okay! Those don’t seem like good omens, and yet I’m sure your week will get progressively better! I’m so sorry I couldn’t join you for knitting last week. I can’t believe the Bazaar Bizarre is over now. We were so focused on prepping for it. It was great, but I’m a bit relieved, too, because I have holiday activity and friends to attend to! I hope I can share a nice soothing cuppa with you soon.
Hugs!

How weird to see blood coming out of its head…do you think the pigeon had something to do with it?

Yeah - sounding like a sucktacular way to start the week, sweetpea! Consider this: it’s got to get better from here on out… (doesn’t it???)
I was actually thinking of you lat night - I’m reading the new Steve Almond book, and there are lots of Somerville/Boston references…
Hope the back and wrist are OK… be careful with yourself!

Ah, ok–now I get the “bruised” reference on your Facebook profile.
