pen and redonkulous packaging

I ordered this pen on a whim, and it arrived — all by its little self — in this box, with this packing material, when a little envelope would have done JUST FINE.

    Did you contact the seller? I mean, lord but that’s ridiculous.

    Or perhaps the pen is filled with nitroglycerin, and that packaging was needed to stabilize it.

    A couple of months ago, I ordered several,inexpensive pens(maybe 4) from a place in Oregon and they arrived in a big box, bigger then that one, I think.
